China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, also known as the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, is a regional free trade park established by the government of the People's Republic of China in Shanghai, which belongs to the category of the free trade zones of China. The pilot zone was formally approved by the State Council on August 22, 2013 and officially opened at 10:00am on September 29. The main tasks of the free trade zone include accelerating the transformation of government functions, expanding the opening up of investment fields, promoting the transformation of trade development, deepening the opening up and innovation of financial fields, perfecting the system protection of legal fields, and exploring the innovation of management models.
