Significant amendments to the BVI Business Companies Act and associated regulations came into force on 2 January 2025. Unless exempt, BVI companies must now file a copy of their register of members to the Registrar along with the names and addresses of any nominee shareholders. The information will only be available to the company, its registered agent, a BVI competent authority and law enforcement agencies.
