The US Internal Revenue Service has clarified its new rules on the tax deductibility of contributions to charities or state government entities such as public schools. Where made by any business taxpayer, whether a sole proprietor, partnership or corporation, contributions for which the taxpayers receive state or local tax credits will remain as fully deductible expenses as long as they qualify as necessary, says the IRS.
